My thoughts on the topic. Assign the task to yourself or a teammate. Tasks have only one assignee so there’s no confusion about who’s responsible for the work.
You can break up a task into subtasks if multiple people need to contribute to its completion. Add a start date and due date to show a task’s duration and final deadline. They all get a notification , and if they can’t complete the task by the designated due date , they indicate that in some way with a reason. After the first two deny it, maybe it automatically gets assigned to the third. Creating multiple copies of a task assigned to each person on the team seems unnecessary when everyone on the team has this task assigned to them.
Asana should give the capability to assign multiple people to one task OR have the option to create duplicate copies of a task. We are a web development company and our tasks are nearly always executed by micro teams consisting of a designer, front-end developer and back-end developer.
