I thought it was fun to rea I think the projects are really interesting twists on Jacobean designs, I like the fresh look of the projects and the incorporation of beads and multiple types of stitching that help make the projects fun and challenging, without being daunting. This book is absolutely stuffed full of well laid out techniques , maybe bit heavy for beginner but perfect support for textile art embellishment techniques for adding detail. The book is a soft cover – stiff flexible board for the cover – and the pages are printed on a nice satin-finish paper. It’s a nice-looking book overall.

Have A Design In Mind? These first three books are all of the hand embroidery books I own, use, and love. They mostly have references to stitches in them with a few projects sprinkled throughout. These are the books that I still use to this day as a resource, and I frequently used them when I was teaching myself to embroider. In this beautiful book she shows the reader how to create stunning crewelwork embroideries inspired by traditional fairytales, including The Wizard of Oz, Karolcia, the Wild Swans and Cinderella.
